The Volunteer Firefighters Association of BC would like to recognize and sincerely acknowledge the tremendous efforts of all firefighters across British Columbia and beyond who are responding to wildfires throughout the province this season.
It is the dedication, courage, and commitment of every firefighter who steps forward to serve their community that drives our profession and inspires us all to continue making a difference in the communities we serve.
We also want to recognize those firefighters who have remained in their home communities, standing ready to protect their neighbours, families, and communities while others are deployed. Your commitment and readiness are equally valued and appreciated.
As what is shaping up to be a long and challenging wildfire season may continue well into October, we extend our sincere thanks to every firefighter working on the front lines, supporting operations, and protecting communities across the province.
